As autumn draws near, Japanese-based outerwear brand White Mountaineering is already preparing for winter with their latest collection. And this time around, they’ve enlisted the help of Levi’s Made & Crafted line for a well-made selection of winter gear. Introducing the White Mountaineering x Levi’s Made & Crafted collaboration collection for winter 2020.
Japan’s Trusty Winterwear Label
Founded in 2006, White Mountaineering has been the pioneering outerwear label to come from Japan’s streetwear scene. Having collaborated with various brands since then, Designer Yosuke Aizawa has undeniably changed the game for winter gear in the fashion industry. And through the brand’s collaborations with the likes of Adidas and Moncler, it’s become an indelible fashion favorite nowadays.
A Fusion of Textiles
For winter 2020, with the help of Levi’s Made & Crafted line, White Mountaineering puts craftsmanship to the forefront. It’s most evident with the outwear. The collection incorporated different textiles, from shimmering nylon to sturdy corduroy with hints of knitwear in between. This melodious mix of textures—and somber hues—pack in as much functionality and attitude in each piece!
Dare to Don Denim
Of course, Levi’s also put in their unmistakeable denim touch. From fish-tailed parkas for men and an oversized dress for women, practically entire every piece in this collab line is enthused with the industrial material. They further prove, not only the versatility of denim but the many innovative ways designers can work with it.
