What is there to do during a lockdown? Shop, of course! At least, that’s what Thai streetwear brand Painkiller has in mind. The Bangkok-based atelier has always provided easy and cool streetwise pieces for the modern dresser. This time around, with their Painkiller x Lazada collaboration, they’re making them more affordable too!
Easy Casual Pieces for the Quarantine
What is there to wear during quarantine? Think flowing button-downs in cool prints or cool denim pieces! These are what Painkiller is mostly offering with their new partnership with the online retailer, Lazada. The capsule collection is a back-to-basics of sorts, upholding modern minimalism combined with a slightly tropical twist. Almost as if they’re the ideal clothes to wear in their home country!
‘Haute’ with a Hawaiian Flair
Painkiller has often taken pride that their clothes are for the ‘artsy gentleman,’ so it’s no surprise that a good number of pieces in their Painkiller x Lazada selection are heavy with motifs. This time around, they take their influence from Hawaii with their own plays on the island’s classic shirt. But instead of leafy prints, theirs make use of motivational slogans such as “Fly High” and “Stay Golden,” among others!
Called the ‘Chaiyo Hawaiian Shirt,’ it’s a reference to a famous district within Bangkok. In fact, the word ‘Chaiyo’ itself is printed unto the shirts as part of their slogan motifs!
Denim Days are Here Again
Edgier customers will likely go for the denim pieces though. A sophisticated range of stone-washed blues by way of well-cut button-downs, straight jeans, and even a few overalls. They further push the ‘artsy’ idea down to a tee. And it doesn’t hurt that they look incredibly comfortable too!
The Painkiller x Lazada capsule collection is available now through the online retailer’s website. What do you think of this new offering? Share your thoughts and reactions in our comments section below!
