Taiwanese streetwear label LUSIVE welcomes summer 2020 with an animalistic bang! Their latest lookbook, Entitled “Golden Country,” features their newest collection of easy pieces, all decorated in fun fauna-inspired motifs with tinges of old-school baroque style. The result? A simplistic approach to today’s vintage-feeling maximalist trend. A fashionable irony, to say the least!
A Young Yet Impactful Label
Ever since the brand opened just last year in 2019, LUSIVE has made quite an impression on the streetwear scene. They introduced their own fusion of classic and cool, putting forth a new casual style that feels old but is entirely new and contemporary. They’re all about giving the fashionable man a chance to go beyond the menswear norms and embrace a little flamboyancy every once and a while.
This summer 2020, that flamboyancy came by way of panther prints, tiger stripes, and the like. The brand looked to the animal kingdom for their point of interest this season, exhibiting a wild side to their otherwise cool style. A stark white set of separates, for instance, looked more fetching with the row of leopards on both pieces. While a black shirt risked looking like an ordinary bowling shirt if not for the sexy zebra stripes.
Elegant Baroque Touches
For a different look, other pieces from the collection also offered a baroque sensibility. A yellow button-down is the best example. Instead of having it covered in leopard spots, LUSIVE went for the less obvious but still cool brocade look. Still, the top itself looked breezy and easy to wear just in time for summer.
Pieces from the “Golden Country” lookbook have yet to be available on LUSIVE’s official website. But expect them to drop the collection anytime soon. Visit their website and social media pages now to see the entire lookbook. Then, share your thoughts and reactions in our comments section below!
