These days, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, a lot of people remain at home as a precautionary measure. But this doesn’t mean they have to stop dressing up! At least, not to the Japanese streetwear brand, Kapital, anyways. Their latest Fall 2020 collection has their customers layering up for a cozy and comfortable wardrobe sure to make an impression even in just a Zoom call!
A Maximalist Bohemian
If you think Kapital is one of the many startup streetwear brands hopping onto the latest trend, think again! The Japanese label has been around since 1985, a pioneer in luxuriating the bohemian streetwise look and etching it into the fashion conversation. And it’s not surprising that a lot of their signatures appear in their latest offering.
Cool and Comfortable
Cool and comfortable are the names of the game this season. Classic causal pieces are given a more urban and contemporary look, often by way of a little oversizing. Flannel shirts are given rounder (albeit a little romantic) sleeves, loose cashmere cut into warm sweaters (printed with Beethoven’s face, no less!), and denim goes by way of floor-sweeping coats and flared jeans.
Packing on the Patchwork
Decoration-wise, Kapital packed on the patchwork for a little bit more flare. The embellishments on the denim pieces harken back to an arts-and-crafts kind of look, offering a sobering humble feel to the streetwear offering. While the bandana flannel shirts, expertly mish-mashed with each other, reveal the brand’s exquisite craftsmanship.
