StreetwearTalk’s BrandWatch is our quest to dig up fresh fits and gems from little known labels in the streetwear world—one of which is Sheffield’s XCVB Clothing.
Few things in the fashion industry embody individuality quite like indie fashion labels. Free of the constraints and pressures of larger fashion houses, the independent fashion scene is home to a much wider variety of ideas and designs. And because indie brands usually produce on much smaller scales, there is a greater emphasis on product quality.
The result? A catalog of creative clothing that has something for everyone, all thanks to brands like XCVB Clothing.
XCVB Clothing is a fashion brand operating out of Sheffield in the UK. Founded by designers Tommy Moore and Jay Jazz Hope in 2011, the brand produces a wide range of casual clothes and accessories from shirts and shorts to bags, caps, and sunglasses. Despite their various selections, cool, muted colors and subtle graphics radiate a certifiably casual feel.
While many fashion designers tend to base their work around specific influences, XCVB Clothing chooses to not have any. Each of their graphic designs draws upon anything and everything that sparks the imagination. This gives designers Moore and Hope more flexibility to play with different ideas and keep new releases fresh and exciting.
To some, this lack of a theme might seem like XCVB does not put much care into their design work. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Not having a specific theme can be seen as a theme in and of itself—one inspired by the world as a whole.
