Sometimes, the best route to take is to go back to basics. At least, that’s what Acne Studios did for Fall 2021. This season, for their denim collection, Acne Studios went back to ther roots, churning out classic casual pieces that are easy to wear and even easier to look good in.

Returning to Red Stitching Origins

The brand goes all the way back in 1996 when creative director Jonny Johansson and his band of underground creatives started working on denim. They famously completed 100 pairs of jeans, all with their signature red stitching, establishing the foundation of the Swedish design collective.

Long and Lean Lead The Way

This season, the brand harkened back to that time in terms of the denim collection‘s overall aesthetic. They exhibit a 90s-esque minimalist approach, coupled with a few hints of deconstruction for more dimension. It all resulted in a long and lean look, another 90s favorite, which favored simplicity and sleekness above everything else.

Calm, Cool, and Collected

Despite the risks, the denim collection went with the right approach for fall 2021. These denim pieces, from the popular staples to the scintillating separates, allow versatility and comfort. They’re classic and casual, comfortable enough to wear again and again during these trying times.
