Virgil Abloh x Takashi Murakami Collab In The Works

The Virgil Abloh x Takashi Murakami collab is in progress. The designer and artist teamed up for “wearable art” in Gagosian Gallery’s latest project.

The Off-White designer’s latest project with Takashi Murakami and the Gagosian Gallery London centers on a collage print. The design shows a portrait of William Shakespeare with neon pink paint overlays and Murakami’s signature insignia.

In addition, more collaborative screenprinted shirts will be available. Blank tees received hand-printed imagery that combines Murakami’s signature style with Off-White’s trademark logo.

Virgil Abloh also took to Instagram to post a clip of the work in progress. Moreover, it showcased a large-scale Off-White square arrow featuring Murakami’s graphics.

The duo used screen printing for the streetwear technique. The exhibition will take place on Feb. 20.

Off-White Sculpture Bag

Meanwhile, the iconic Off-White sculpture bag now arrives in a crisp white colorway. The tote bag also comes in 100% leather.

An Off-White industrial strap completes the luxury bag’s aesthetic. It also features the signature paperclip at the top.

The bag is now available at select stockists. It retails at $920 USD.

Previously, an Off-White sculpture tote dropped for carrying everyday essentials. It features the print “SCULPTURE” in bold black font. The handbag is Italian-made. It incorporates leather trim and also has an internal zipper pocket.
