Louis Vuitton Sneaker By Virgil Abloh

Virgil Abloh has teased his latest project: a Louis Vuitton sneaker. He also unveiled a design for a mini-bag.

The Off-White founder shared his thoughts on his appointment. He said that he will “establish a new vocabulary… that’s youthful, modern, but at the same time, hinged on the past.”

He also expressed his excitement at joining Louis Vuitton. Abloh is especially excited about the ability to create with a high level of craftsmanship and luxury.

The Off-White designer also talked about how Pharrell Williams inspired him to first buy a Louis Vuitton piece. He bought the Wapity Wallet. He admitted that he finds inspiration everywhere.

Sneaker Sketches

Abloh teased a new sneaker through Instagram. The sketch shows a mid-top design with LV branded on the lateral. There’s also the brand’s signature monogram on the midsole.

The designer called it “a classic sneaker” in the video. He also added that it needs gold or porcelain “to make it more rich.”

In another design, a handbag will have a porcelain chain strap. There’s also a small shoulder pouch in classic brown leather. The pouch has Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram.

Moreover, apparel seems to showcase Abloh’s originality when it comes to his works. With his work at LV, though, he kept it more tailored.
