A Vest From The Vetements Spring/Summer 2018 Collection

The Vetements Spring/Summer 2018 collection has a new item in its arsenal. The Reversible Archive Vest is an eclectic springtime option for the season.

Vetements founder Demna Gvasalia admitted in an interview that he doesn’t think elegance is relevant. In addition, he stated that people “on the street” do not necessarily aim for it.

It seems that the designer is on to something. In a short time, Vetements rose to become one of the most influential labels in modern fashion.

“The fashion world isn’t the real world and my aesthetic is a kind of hyperrealism,” he said. He also added that “taking risks is something I got used to as a kid and that is in the DNA of Vetements.”

A Unique Springtime Choice

The Reversible Archive Vest features a tonal navy-colored base on one side. On the other, it has a check-printed flannel shirt design.

Customers can wear it from the front or flip it to the back. The vest also has brown corduroy collar and a white branded label placed over the top of a side pocket.

The vest retails for $2,300 USD. It is now available at select retailers.

Meanwhile, Vetements also dropped logo sneakers inspired by Adidas’ Stan Smith silhouette.
