Stone Island Spring/Summer 2018 Capsule Collection

The latest Stone Island Spring/Summer 2018 capsule collection dropped new video lookbooks. “Marina” is full of statement outerwear to make you stand out this season.

Stone Island unveiled its SS18 collection last December. The brand used new ways of making garments along with concepts and processes taken from its extensive archive.

The Spring/Summer 2018 collection takes its inspiration from vintage Polish military uniforms. The label also chose alligator camouflage as this season’s camo print.

The process involved hand-painting the design before taking its photograph and re-printing. The alligator camo pieces come with shoulder pieces of a special light cotton-nylon rep material, which underwent a six-color printing process.

The capsule includes lightweight jackets and vests. There are also camouflage and stripe patterns on the pieces. Moreover, the brand stuck with spring-ready color palettes.

Now, Stone Island showcased the pieces in new videos. Two videos showed two different aspects of the capsule. One serves as a video lookbook while the other shows the processes involved in the production of the range.

The label employed two ways of creating the pieces. “Folded” items mean that they are dyed, folded, and then printed to give each piece a unique graphic motif. “All Over” items come with an embroidered red star.
