The STAMPD x BAPE Roadsta Is Shining, Shimmering, Splendid
The new STAMPD x BAPE Roadsta iteration comes in a shimmery material. The sneaker is the first drop of an exciting collaboration by the two brands.
Chris Stamp of STAMPD took to Instagram to unveil its upcoming BAPE Roadsta collaboration. Based on the post, the shoe will feature a speckled stone-like paneled patent leather upper.
BAPE’s star branding serves as the accent along the side panels. The shoe also has a white midsole with an encapsulated air heel unit. A matching rubber outsole completes the shoe’s aesthetic.
The collaboration takes its inspiration from Chris Stamp’s first encounter with BAPE 12 years ago in Tokyo. The STAMPD founder acknowledges the experience as a continuing inspiration for him and the label.
More To Come
STAMPD and BAPE’s iteration of the Roadsta is just the beginning for the duo’s collaboration. There will be an accompanying garment range for the sneaker.
The shoes have a monochromatic black sand print. This sits under a clear patent upper. Moreover, each pair of sneakers will have its own unique character and design due to the varying prints and patterns in the process.
Other pieces will be accompanying the Roadsta in the collaboration. There will reportedly be a sports cap, a co-branded tee, and a zip-up shark face hoodie, among others.
The shoes and full collection are set to drop on Feb. 3 at STAMPD.com and at the brand’s L.A. flagship.
