PUMA RS-0 And Its Gaming Influences
The brand unveiled its PUMA RS-0 through its Running System global launch. This time, the label continues to add gaming influences to the collection.
The shoe is partly sneaker and partly sandal. It is a low-top silhouette that has a gap between its toe box and rear. This allows for air flow and creates a stunning profile.
PUMA replaces its lacing system with bungee cord ties that can be adjusted using a barrel-style lock. There is also a trail-inspired outsole that completes the lifestyle footwear.
It comes in two warm weather colorways: Bay/Cherry Tomato and Vanilla Ice. This pairs well with the duo’s Spring/Summer 2018 pieces such as the mesh tank top and cropped t-shirts.
PUMA’s RS-0 “Play” pack showcases four new styles for the silhouette. There are four new colorways: white, black, gray, and pink.
The design takes its cues from the aesthetics of videos games from the ’80s. The shoes have leather uppers, supportive inserts which take after the buttons of old consoles, and innovative cushioning technology.
Each shoe will retail for $100 USD. The collection will drop on Jun. 21.
