Off-White’s Virgil Abloh Graces Cover of “System” Magazine

“System” magazine focuses the spotlight on Off-White’s Virgil Abloh for its 10th issue. The designer graces four different covers for the publication’s latest release.

Juergen Teller took the photos of Abloh for the magazine. “What is Virgil Abloh?” is the title of the piece.

“System” followed the Off-White founder as he journeyed around the world. He went to popular fashion landmarks such as New York, Sao Paulo, Los Angeles, Stockholm, Paris, Milan, and Amsterdam.

During those meetings, Abloh met up with other creatives such as Hans Ulrich Obrist and architect Rem Koolhaas. He also enjoyed a trip to the sauna with Teller.

Behind The Collaboration

Moreover, Abloh talked about his partnership with megabrand IKEA. The magazine was able to get an in-depth look at the collaboration in the making with a 66-page feature.

“System” then asked people in the fashion industry for opinion on Abloh. It included Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri, Imran Amed of Business of Fashion, Marco Bizzarri, Edward Enninful, Marc Newson, Peter Saville and Jenny Hozer as well as several models, buyers, and stylists.

Meanwhile, the issue also includes content about Jil Sander and her conversation with super stylist Joe McKenna.
