Nike Air Max 270 Takes Its Inspiration From The Classics

The new Nike Air Max 270 shoe takes its cue from classic silhouettes. The sportswear giant recently revealed its latest sneakers.

Nike’s latest silhouette takes its inspiration from iconic shoes in the early 1990s. The sneakers that inspired this latest creation are the Air Max 180 and Air Max 93.

It also boasts key elements from the aforementioned silhouettes. The Air Max 270 got its name from its 270-degrees of visible air within the Air Max unit.

Not A Hybrid

Although the Air Max 270 has elements from previous sneakers, Dylaan Raasch, Senior Creative Director at Nike, clarified that it is not a hybrid. It is a new Air Max shoe.

The initial idea was to create a mash-up of the Air Max 93 and 180. However, as the process went, the label decided to abandon the concept and create something entirely new.

The new sneaker aims to provide all-day comfort. It also features striking design elements and revolutionary Air Max technology. It is the tallest Air Max to date.

The silhouette is form-fitting and offers a “trampoline-like effect” as well as a zoned mesh upper. The upper will give wearers the ultimate breathability.

The shoe provides a smooth transition from heel to forefoot with its innovative design. It basically is all about comfort. No release date details have been announced yet.
