Moschino Fall/Winter 2018 Collection Features Text-Heavy Motifs And More
Jeremy Scott showcased his Moschino Fall/Winter 2018 collection at the Milan Fashion Week recently. The presentation featured wares conveying punk-inspired themes.
Moschino’s latest collection has unconventional outerwear, suiting, shirting, bottoms, and accessories. The brand appears to be the first to reimagine conventional gender assumptions into a conjoined dinner jacket.
One of the range’s most noteworthy piece is the “tandem tux” which appeared as the final look for the show. Other eye-catching items include a hooded trench coat with text-heavy motifs, lightweight blousons with printed safety pin graphics, button downs with shoulder straps, and floral-printed trousers.
A Purposefully Provocative Lineup
Moschino’s latest collection is a provocative range that spanned dominatrix to ladylike as well as demimonde to debonair. There is emphasis on glossy black surfaces which give it a more kinky feel.
“People are in control of their sexuality and the way they want to look; you’re owning your own power,” Scott said.
He also used newspaper style fragments as a graphic pattern safety pinned onto various looks. Naughty, trash, spank, lick, pain and tic, tac, toe are among the mix.
Meanwhile, Dolce & Gabbana also took to Milan Fashion Week to showcase their Fall/Winter 2018 collection. The range serves up a dynamic array of pieces.
