Off-White founder Virgil Abloh takes over Kim Jones’ post at LV. The latter replaces Kris Van Assche as the artistic director at Dior Homme.

“I feel elated, “Abloh said about his appointment. “This opportunity to think through what the next chapter of design and luxury will mean at a brand that represents the pinnacle of luxury was always a goal in my wildest dreams. And to show a younger generation that there is no one way anyone in this kind of position has to look is a fantastically modern spirit in which to start.”

Cool Collaboration

Jones’ capsule with Swoosh’s design laboratory comes in the wake of Jones’ transfer. It includes a mixture of footwear and performance apparel.

There’s a high-top hybrid sneaker that has various silhouettes. The bottom is similar to an Air Max 360 while the upper has elements from both the Vandal and the Blazer.

Asymmetrical lacing rounds off the look. It takes its inspiration from the Air Footscape NM. The sneaker boasts of a tonal white palette. It is from an upper constructed mostly of mesh.
