YEEZY 700 V2: A Hybrid of 700 and 500?

Kanye West has shared a first look at the YEEZY 700 V2. It looks like a combination of two iconic silhouettes.

The 700 V2 looks more similar to the YEEZY 500 “Blush” with its beige-suede and mesh panels topped by white laces. It has a tapered toe cap as well.

The YEEZY 500 “Blush” has a nude tan base with pink undertones. It also has a mesh overlay which runs throughout its lateral. This breaks up the monochrome sneaker.

The shoe has an Adripene sole. This boosts its traction and makes it look pleasant while being functional as well.

The latest shoe, when viewed from the top-down, gives little indication of the sole shape. This is similar to the previous 700 shoe.

Plagiarist?

Kanye West apologized to Tony Spackman after the rapper posted sketches that looked similar to the designer’s designs while he was working for Nike. The YEEZY founder owned up to the faux pas and apologized on Twitter.

“Today I learned that a newly hired designer on the Yeezy team presented work that was not of their own,” he wrote. “This person has immediately been let go from the Yeezy brand.”

He also acknowledged that Tony Spackman was “the true creator of this amazing work.”
