Beyoncé Capsule Collection Takes Inspiration From Egyptian Royalty

The latest Beyoncé capsule collection pays tribute to Queen Nefertiti. The Egyptian queen and her husband started a religious revolution when they resolved to worship only one god, Aten or the sun disc.

Some believe that her reign with her husband was the wealthiest period of ancient Egypt. There were also reports that she ruled briefly after her husband’s death.

Past and Present Queens

Beyoncé centers her latest capsule collection around a theme of royalty. Portrait-style images of the artist dressed as Queen Nefertiti are on a small range of t-shirts.

There are also long-sleeve crewneck pullovers and hoodies. The pieces are now available for purchase on Beyoncé’s official online shop. Prices range between $35 USD and $60 USD.

This comes after the “Lemonade” hitmaker released a holiday collection which includes sweatshirts, pullovers, sweaters, crop tops, tees, crewnecks, and even onesies. There are also accessories and ornaments in the assortment.

The pieces come in fun names such as the “HOLIDAYONCÉ” white t-shirt and the “SIS THE SEASON” crewneck. Moreover, you can purchase a “SHININ’ UGLY SWEATER” shirt as well as an infant onesie.

The previous holiday collection also features two iPhone cases. One has the “SHININ’” design while the other has the text “SLAY BELLS” on it. Ornaments include a wrapping paper, satin ball ornaments, and enamel ornaments.
