BAPE x Adidas Collaboration for Football Enthusiasts

The BAPE x Adidas collaboration comes in the wake of the 2018 FIFA World Cup competition. The global event will begin on Jun. 14.

There were rumors that BAPE and Adidas would be releasing their iteration of the Samba silhouette. The two brands have previously worked on other sneakers and apparel.

The rumors began with famed streetwear leak publication Supreme Leak News. There are reports that the collaboration will see the Adidas Samba silhouette in BAPE’s iconic 1ST CAMO design.

The publication also included a mock-up of the sneaker on their Instagram post. SNKRMOB created the image.

A Winner’s Collection

The Japanese streetwear store teamed up with the German giant for the football-inspired collection. The “adidas Winning Collection” includes three key pieces like a zip-up track jacket, a footy top, and a pair of suede trainers.

The items come in a red colorway. Moreover, it has adidas’ Three Stripes, trefoil, and BAPE’s “A Bathing Ape” detailing in white.

BAPE’s iconic Ape head and the number “12” is also all over the pieces. These come in BAPE’s ubiquitous CAMO in a light gray color.

The collection became available in a pop-up at Japan’s Isetan Shinjuku store last Monday, May 14. It will have a global release on May 30.
