Air Jordan 1 Customization by The Shoe Surgeon is the Best of Both Worlds

The Shoe Surgeon has customized the Air Jordan 1 model again. This time, Dominic Chambrone opted to reimagine the silhouette in a radical way.

Originally, Nike created the AJ1 for use in-court. It then became a lifestyle sneaker over the years.

Now, The Shoe Surgeon decided to fuse the first Jordan silhouette with another classic model, the soccer-inspired Nike Tiempo ’94. With this, Chambrone combined two of the most popular sports in the world: basketball and soccer.

Same But With A Twist

The latest version of the AJ1 is keenly similar to the original silhouette. However, The Shoe Surgeon included subtle artistic twists like the Tiempo’s signature overlapping tongue and exposed stitching on the vamp region.

Moreover, the textured side panel Swoosh completes the shoe’s bespoke design. Other details found on the customized Jordan include the quilted leather toe box and the Jumpman branding on the tongue flap.

The Shoe Surgeon recently customized the New Balance 574 as well. He used exotic materials such as python leather and black Lycra-based leather to provide the shoe with instant quality and durability.
