Adidas Ultra Boost “Year Of The Dog”
The latest offering from Adidas pays tribute to the upcoming Lunar New Year celebrations. The Ultra Boost “Year of the Dog” silhouette has an exciting, festive design.
Adidas’ latest iteration of its famed model comes just before the Lunar New Year celebration next month on Feb. 16, 2018. Several brands created collections for the “Year of the Dog.”
Converse dropped a collection inspired by the legend of the Tiangou Eclipse. Tiangou is a mythical creature from China. It resembles a black dog or meteor. Moreover, it is thought to eat the sun or moon during an eclipse.
Meanwhile, BAPE’s “Year of the Dog” collection features Chinese zodiac designs. It also includes apparel decorated with the label’s sidekick, Baby Milo.
New Year Vibes
Adidas’ newest iteration of the Ultra Boost takes on a black and red intertwined hue for the upper. Its shoelaces, lining, and Three Stripes cage, on the other hand, take on a solid black color.
A signature white BOOST midsole completes the silhouette’s overall look. A Red Continental outsole is also part of the shoe. Moreover, a special Chinese character surrounded by dog fangs adds to the shoe’s New Year vibes.
The limited edition “Year of the Dog” Ultra Boost will be available at select Adidas retailers on Feb. 1. It will cost ¥1,399 RMB, which is about $217 USD.
